Free Entrance Days in the National Parks for 2016
Happy Birthday National Parks! You are turning 100 and you are giving US the presents!? You are so generous!
There are 409 National Parks and only 127 of them charge an entrance fee!
But not on these dates. Enjoy not only the savings but the beauty that is our National Parks, but time with friends and family and building some memories. You might consider the $80 annual pass that provides entrance to all national parks, national wildlife refuges, national forests, and many other Federal lands-more than 2,000 in all. The America the Beautiful National Parks and Federal Recreational Lands Pass is offered free to all active duty military members and their dependents.In addition, any fourth grade student can get a free annual pass through the Every Kid in a Park program!
Information on these and other pass options is available online. The fee waiver includes entrance fees, commercial tour fees, and transportation entrance fees. Other fees such as reservation, camping, tours, concession and fees collected by third parties are not included unless stated otherwise.
