Practically Perfect Pie Crust
Shhhh This is a family secret. Well, not really. I have permission from the women of the family to share this recipe with you, my readers. This is the pie crust recipe that we have used for year. This recipe was used to win Grand Champion Baked Item at the 4-H fair. It wasn’t me who won the prize. It was my sister but still…this is the recipe that was used!
I love this pie crust because:
It comes together easily
No crazy ingredients are needed.
It has a durability when working with it but bakes up flaky and tender.
- 4 cups All Purpose Flour
- 1 3/4 cups Shortening
- 1 Tablespoon Sugar
- 1 Teaspoon Salt
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 Tablespoon White Vinegar
- 1 egg, beaten
