How do you cook boil in a bag rice in a bag?
Cooking time and methods of preparation can vary between different brands and type of rice so refer to the package directions to be sure. You can even make a bunch of rice bowl recipes with boil in bag rice.
Stovetop:
- Pour about 4 cups of water into medium saucepan and submerge 1 bag of White Rice.
- Bring water to a boil and boil uncovered 8 to 10 minutes.
- Carefully remove the bag with a fork or tongs and drain.
- Cut open the bag and empty the cooked rice into a serving dish. Fluff with fork and add butter and salt, if desired.
Microwave instructions :
- In a 2-quart microwave-safe bowl, submerge one unopened bag of rice in 3 cups of boiling water.
- Cover tightly with a microwave-safe lid or plastic wrap and cook on HIGH 12-15 minutes.
- Carefully remove bag from water with a fork or a pair of tongs and drain.
- Cut open bag and pour the contents into a serving dish.
- Fluff with fork and serve.
