One of my favorite parts of Walt Disney World Magic Kingdom is the Main Street Electrical parade. I even had the score on a record (Did you read that! A record! Kids go ask your grandparents out records.) and would play it over and over dreaming and remembering the wonder that is the Main Street Electrical parade. The score is one of those pieces of music that gets in your head, don’t leave and leaves your toes tapping, your mouth smiling and your heart full of memories.
I love how the music plays out of the speaker system along Main Street as the floats and dancers pass by. This bit of technology has always fascinated me, even as a child. I always wanted to drive one of the snails or be a dancer in Cinderella’s court. I never wanted to be Pete on his dragon because that was just too high for me! I have my limits.
BUT I would love to be Tinkerbelle as she soars down her zip line from Cinderella castle. Why that is not as scary as being onto of the dragon, I will never know!
So last time we were in the Magic Kingdom I captured the Main Street Electrical parade on video. Trust me when I say it is NOT nearly as magical as being there but it is my way of bringing a bit of the magic to you, my reader. Plus I have it to show my kids to keep them entertained before our outdoor movie nights.
