On the hot days of summer I hide in my air conditioning. But delivery people who work for UPS, USPS, FedEx, waste management and recycling don’t have the option to keep cool in the summer heat. Give them a simple thank you by offering them a self serve cooler of cold bottled water. Helping to keep your delivery helpers cool and hydrated will sure to be appreciated. Here is a free printable for you to have letting them know that you are thankful and the drinks are free!
Be sure to bookmark my free printable for your holiday delivery people. They will be working overtime to bring holiday joy to your door so keep them hydrated and energized with snacks.

This free printable is the perfect way to let your delivery person know you are thankful for them and want to show a little appreciation for what they do for you and your family in the heat.

What type of cooler should I use?
I am using a hard sided cooler with wheels because I am able to easily pull it up the driveway each evening to refresh the ice packs. A soft sided cooler would work if you had enough ice in it and the cooler was in a shady spot.
Where should I place my cooler?
I have my cooler next to the mailbox with the sign facing the traffic flow. This way they can easily reach out of their vehicle to retrieve a bottle of water. The waste management people can also easily reach the cooler. Another option would be to have the cooler on a porch or door step. Do what you are most comfortable with and what makes sense for your deliver person.
