TIE Fighter Chocolate Pretzel Treats
You know how some people see elephants in the clouds and others see colors in the wind? I see food in other objects. For example when I see the Tie Fighters from Star Wars, I see Chocolate Pretzel Treats.
I can’t help it. I love the artistic vision of J. J. Abrams but the foodie in me sees pretzel wheels with a Rolo resting between them.
It is a delicious vision!
It is kind of like when I see BB-8, I see a caramel apple.
This is a kid friendly project but PLEASE let an adult handle the oven.
Spread wagon wheel pretzels on a parchment lined sheet pan.
If you have silicone mats, they will work as well.
I am using the Rolo minis for this recipe.
I thought they were more proportionate than the traditional Rolo’s.
Place a Rolo on each pretzel.
Place the sheet tray in a 275 degree oven.
Leave them in the oven for 2 minutes.
Gently place a second pretzel round on top of the warmed Rolo.
Place the Tie Fighters back in the oven for 30 seconds.
If needed, press the pretzel into the warmed chocolate.
Here is a little warning.
If you switch your laundry from the washer to the dryer, go get the mail and forget about the Rolo’s for 5 minutes in the oven, this is what happens.
One the left is the 2 minutes with an additional 30 second after the second pretzel is added. The right is what happens when you forget about them for 5 minutes. Try not to be the Tie Fighters on the right.
