Clean and remove the stems of the strawberries and cut strawberries into quarters.
Place the cut, clean strawberries into a mason jar. Be sure you have a clean lid and jar ring that will fit.
Cover the strawberries with Vodka. I don't have an exact ratio but I am calling this a 1:1 ratio.
Cover the strawberries with enough vodka until they start to float. Now the strawberries are going to start to release their color and flavor. No need to heat this mixture. Just keep this strawberry vodka sealed and in a cool dry place.
After about 8 hours your strawberries have released all their yummy sweetness. You are welcome for this mixture to sit over night or even for a few days. It will just get more intense in flavor.
Strain the berries, I strain the berries from the vodka using just a mesh strainer. The seeds and bits of strawberry will still be in the vodka with this method. If you prefer a clean liquid, you are going to want strain through several layers of fine cheesecloth. Or use a coffee filter.
I prefer the seeds and strawberry bits. It reminds me that this is vodka was made with REAL strawberries.
