The Wyndham Garden Lake Buena Vista is an official Walt Disney Resort Hotel as well as a Disney Springs Resort Area Hotel and is 10 miles from the Universal Orlando theme parks. The Wyndham Garden Lake Buena Vista is one of the best-kept secrets when it comes to a budget-friendly hotel with all the perks of a moderate resort.

The Wyndham Lake Buena Vista Disney Springs Resort area is the best Disney resort for kids and adults. An official Walt Disney World Hotel, the hotel is located directly across the street from Disney Springs.
Closest hotel resort to Disney Springs
The Wyndham Garden Lake Buena Vista is a short 7-minute walk to Disney Springs and all the shopping, nightlife and restaurants that my family loves to enjoy when we visit the Orlando Area. A paved sidewalk leads to a stair tower along with a handicap accessible elevator before you walk over a covered bridge to the back entrance of Disney Springs.
When in Disney Springs be sure to check out Paradiso 37 for a restaurant where you can take part in a daily celebration of diverse vibrant cultures and enjoy the diverse food, drink, and music of the 37 countries of North, Central and South America. My family loves to visit Splitsville, Orlando on our vacation arrival day. A fun way to ease into the vacation mindset with Disney-themed bowling and amazing pizza and sushi! Yes, it is that fun!
This post is part of a partnership with Wyndham Garden Lake Buena Vista. All opinions are my own.
Transportation
While the Wyndham Lake Buena Vista does not have a free airport shuttle it is just a 20 minute Uber, Lyft or other rideshare rides. As of January 2022 Disney Parks will no longer offer the Disney Magical Express from MCO to the resorts so guests will have to make other transportation arrangements.
Guests of the Wyndham Lake Buena Vista Resort can take advantage of a FREE daily scheduled shuttle transportation to and from the four main Walt Disney World Theme Parks. Reservations are required to ensure you have a secured spot on the transportation. Shuttle schedules and information are provided at check-in.
Disney perks included!
You do not have to stay at Disney value resort or Disney moderate resort to get the Disney perks your family loves. Wyndham Lake Buena Vista is an official Walt Disney Resort Hotel as well as a Disney Springs Resort Area Hotel. Park tickets are available to purchase at the hotel – and online. Enjoy 30 minutes early entry to any Theme Park every day, just like you can when you stay at Disney Resort Hotel.
There is a free shuttle to all the parks, just like any Disney Resort Hotel. The shuttle from the Wyndham does require a reservation but it will have a direct door to park services versus stopping at other hotels to pickup and drop off guests.
Enjoy your favorite Mickey Waffle at the LakeView Restaurant for their amazing breakfast buffet. Using the official Mickey Waffle iron you can go back time and time again to get your fill of your favorite Disney breakfast items at the buffet. Joffrey's coffee, juices, and teas are unlimited and included in the breakfast price. Soon they will be bringing back the character breakfasts.
Pro tip: bring your holiday card clothes and change to get that one-of-a-kind family photo with your favorite Disney pals. The characters are amazingly generous with the interactions they have with the families.
Joffrey's Coffee Shop In The Lobby
Get your Disney Joffrey's coffee fix in the lobby of the Wyndham Garden Hotel. Save yourself some steps and skip Disney Springs for your Disney coffee fix. Open from 7 am until midnight Joffrey's will serve you your favorite coffee beverage, pastry, or delicious breakfast sandwich.
Grab and Go Freshly Made Food
In the lobby of the hotel, you will find a grab and go service area with freshly made sandwiches, wraps and salads made in house daily. Straight from the kitchen of the hotel the Chefs who make your Mickey waffle are crafting your meals to take with you to the parks, last minute meal to the airport or midnight snack.
In addition to the sandwiches, you can find a variety of sweet and salty snacks and the ever-popular Mickey Ice Cream bar.
Not crowded pool at Disney
There are 2 pools and 1 whirlpool spa at the hotel. The zero-entry pool is unheated and quite refreshing for a day spent by the pool in the Florida heat. The main pool features a Dump Bucket splash structure for families.
Further into the pool, there is a waterfall rock centerpiece in deeper water with a grotto ledge. The pool is a saltwater pool and I appreciated not smelling like chlorine after my swim.
The second pool is heated and has a step entry with a handicap-accessible lift for alternate entry. The heated whirlpool overlooks the two pools and is great for smaller groups.
Cabanas are first come, first serve
One thing that I have always struggled with when planning my vacation is remembering to book the pool cabana. The second thing I struggle with is the price of booking that cabana. At the Wyndham Garden Lake Buena Vista the cabanas are first come, first serve and only require a $150 food and beverage purchase. Comfortable couches or a high-top dining table are both options in the cabanas along with electrical outlets, privacy curtains and pool towels, all included.
On the resort day of our vacation, we finish breakfast and head down to the pool to snag a cabana and set up for the day. The kids enjoy the pool while my husband and I order a few cocktails because WE ARE ON VACATION. The super friendly staff will bring your food straight to your cabana without you having to walk to the poolside Oasis restaurant.
What are the renovated rooms like at the Wyndham Garden Lake Buena Vista?
The resort features two distinct hotel offerings with many shared amenities. This guest room renovation includes 394 newly reimagined Wyndham Garden-themed rooms for the value-minded guest and another 232 rooms in the upscale Wyndham LBV tower, which features a lake house motif.
Wyndham Garden-themed rooms
The garden-themed rooms have an exterior facing garden view and provide an open and inviting space, with the intent of making guests feel more at home. Each room features a TV displayed on a backlit wood finish entertainment wall above an all-white, laminate wood, built-in storage bench accented with decorative aviary hooks. This multifunctional entertainment storage space is the perfect space to hang jackets, place luggage, and hideaway shoes in the under-bench area. Hidden spaces have also been created within the built-in entertainment center, which conceals a coffee maker and mini-refrigerator, which come standard in each room.
Wyndham LBV tower rooms
Rooms in the tower have interior facing entrances with window views that look over the pool or gardens. The lake house tower suites feature a neutral color palette, deeper wood finishes, simple lines and modern accents in keeping with a lake house ascetic.
Check availability for 2 double beds, queen bed or a king bed, to make you feel welcomed and relaxed.
What does the resort fee cover?
There is a Resort Fee of $36 per night will be added to the indicated room rate and collected at checkout. Wyndham Rewards points cannot be used to pay the Resort Fee. Guests using certain corporate, leisure or group rate plans may be charged a lower Resort Fee.

Sip and snack at the pool bar
The Wyndham Garden Lake has a recently constructed outdoor pool bar and patio. Frozen drinks, beer, wine and cocktails are available to sip in non glass containers as you lounge poolside. Check with the staff for daily specials to tempt your tummy.
More than just bar snacks, you can nosh on a cheeseburger and fries, a foot-long sausage with all the fixings or even a meat-free burger. I saw several plates of wings coming from the servers and if I was a wing person, I would have gotten some! Be sure to check the menu as it might be different for you at your visit.
