Blueberry Salsa

A delightful blueberry salsa recipe awaits you, with a colorful bowl of blueberries and chopped red fruit, elegantly garnished with fresh herbs. All this vibrant goodness sits on a rustic wooden surface, patiently waiting beside a spoon for your enjoyment.

Makes 2 cups

Ingredients

  • 2 Cups blueberries
  • 5-7 Strawberries
  • ¼ Cup Cilantro
  • 1 Jalapeno Pepper
  • lime juice and zest
  • salt

Instructions
 

  • Remove the seeds, stem and membrane of the jalapeno pepper and roughly chop the pepper.

  • Zest and juice the lime into the bottom of the food processor or blender.

  • Add the rest of the ingredients on top of the lime juice and zest.
    2 Cups blueberries, 5-7 Strawberries, ¼ Cup Cilantro, salt
  • Close the lid and pulse until the desired consistency is achieved.
  • Taste for seasoning and add more salt, if needed.

  • Chill for 1 hour for best flavor results.

Notes

I like to make this salsa about an hour before I serve it. I would not advise making it more than 8 hours ahead as the salt will start to break down the berries and make them liquid.
