Fried Goat Cheese Recipe (Medallions or Balls)

Ingredients

  • 4 Ounces goat cheese
  • ½ Cup panko bread crumbs
  • 1 Teaspoon Everything But The Bagel Seasoning optional
  • 1 Egg
  • Cup Flour, All Purpose

Instructions

  1. Slice a 4-ounce log of goat cheese into 6 disks.

  2. Add a teaspoon or two of Everything But The Bagel Seasoning to the bread crumbs and toss to combine.
    ½ Cup panko bread crumbs, 1 Teaspoon Everything But The Bagel Seasoning
  3. Whisk the egg together with a tablespoon of water to make an egg wash in a shallow bowl.

  4. Add the flour to a clean plate.
    ⅓ Cup Flour, All Purpose
  5. Start by pressing the chilled goat cheese into the flour.
  6. Next, dunk the cheese in the egg wash mixture, flipping to coat.
  7. Then, press the goat cheese in the panko bread crumbs.
  8. Heat olive oil in a shallow pan over medium heat.
  9. Fry the goat cheese in the pan flipping every 15-30 seconds until golden brown.
  10. Remove to a paper towel-lined plate and serve immediately for the most delicious results.
