  • 2 tablespoon (2 tablespoon) Olive Oil
  • 1 Teaspoon (1 Teaspoon) salt
  • ½ Teaspoon (0.5 Teaspoons) Black Pepper (ground)

Instructions

  • Heat the oven to 400 F.
  • First, wash the beets. If leaving stems intact, trim to a reasonable length and ensure they are free of dirt.
    1 lb beets
  • Next, peel the outer skin off the beet with a vegetable peeler.
  • Arrange the beets in a single layer on a baking sheet and drizzle with olive oil, sprinkle with salt and pepper.
2 TBSP Olive Oil, 1 Teaspoon salt, ½ Teaspoon Black Pepper
  • Roast the beets in the oven, uncovered for 35 minutes. Check for doneness by inserting a fork or sharp knife into the beet.
