Ingredients

  • 8 oz lo mein noodles substitute spaghetti noodles
  • 3 Cups broccoli
  • 2 Tablespoons oil for sautéing
  • 8 oz flank steak thinly sliced
  • 1 large carrot shredded
  • 3 cloves Garlic minced
  • 2 tablespoon Hoisin Sauce
  • ¼ Cup Soy Sauce
  • ¼ Cup Brown Sugar
  • ¼ teaspoon ground ginger
  • ½ teaspoon Black Pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon Red Pepper flakes
  • sesame seeds optional
  • green onions optional

Instructions

Cook the Noodles & Broccoli

  1. Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Add lo mein noodles and cook according to package directions. Toss in the broccoli halfway through. Drain and set aside.

Cook the Beef & Carrots

  1. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Add oil, thinly sliced beef, and shredded carrots. Stir-fry for 5–8 minutes, until the beef is cooked to your liking.

Make the Sauce

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together garlic, hoisin sauce, soy sauce, brown sugar, ground ginger, pepper, and red pepper flakes.

Combine Everything

  1. Add noodles and broccoli to the skillet with the beef. Pour in the sauce and stir until everything is well coated and heated through.

Garnish & Serve

  1. Top with green onions and sesame seeds. Serve hot and enjoy!
