Rhodes Cinnamon Rolls are the best frozen cinnamon rolls for making proof and bake cinnamon rolls for breakfast or brunch without the work of a traditional cinnamon roll.

Instructions

Regular method for making Rhodes Cinnamon Rolls

  1. Spray pan with nonstick pan spray.
  2. Arrange the frozen rolls in your chosen pan and cover with plastic wrap.

  3. Allow the cinnamon rolls to thaw and rise 3 to 5 hours, until double in size. The actual time depends on the temperature of your kitchen.
  4. Carefully remove plastic wrap.
  5. When rolls have risen fully, preheat the oven to 350˚F.
  6. Bake 15–20 minutes, until light brown. Do not overbake!
  7. Give the frosting packets a few squeezes before clipping the corner off the packet and spread frosting over rolls while they are still warm.

Refrigerator thaw method

  1. Spray your pan with cooking spray.
  2. Place frozen dough on your pan. Cover with sprayed plastic wrap to keep from sticking to dough while rising.
  3. Place your pan in the refrigerator overnight or all day long. When you’re ready to begin baking, take the pan out of the refrigerator.
  4. Allow the rolls to rest on the counter for 1-2 hours so the rolls will double in size.
  5. Preheat your oven to 350.
  6. Remove the plastic wrap and bake 15-20 minutes.
  7. Give the frosting packets a few squeezes before clipping the corner off the packet and spread frosting over rolls while they are still warm.

Speed Thaw Method

  1. Spray your chosen pan with cooking spray.
  2. Place frozen dough on your pan. Lightly spray the top of the cinnamon rolls with nonstick spray and cover with plastic wrap to keep from sticking to dough while rising.
  3. Preheat the oven to 200 F and turn off once heated.
  4. While the oven is preheating, bring 2 quarts to a boil and pour into a pan on the lowest rack in the oven.
  5. Place rolls in the oven and allow them to double in size.
  6. Remove the pan of water and carefully remove the plastic wrap.
  7. With the rolls still in the oven, reheat the oven to 350.
  8. Once heated, bake until golden brown. 15-20 minutes

Cautions with using the speed thaw method:
Only use this method when you are super crunched for time.It is common for some discoloration to occur when using the speed method.Out of all of the baking methods, this method is most likely to have rolls fall.

Can rhodes cinnamon rolls rise overnight?

Thawing cinnamon rolls and allowing them to rise over night is my preferred method. I think the texture is light, fluffy and airy!

How to make rhodes cinnamon rolls rise faster.

If it is summer, place the rolls outside in the summer heat. If it is colder in your house, place the pan of rolls on a heating pad set on low to help them rise faster.

How to reheat rhodes cinnamon rolls

We reheat our cinnamon rolls in the microwave in 10 second increments until they reach the desired temperature. Watch out, the icing my be vey hot.
