Ingredients

  • 1 Cup light corn syrup
  • 1 Cup Sugar
  • 1 Cup peanut butter
  • 6 Cups crisp rice cereal
  • 1 Cup semi-sweet chocolate morsels
  • 1 Cup butterscotch chips

  • In a medium saucepan, over medium heat, stirring together the corn syrup and sugar. Stir frequently, until sugar dissolves and mixture just begins to simmer. Do not over boil.
  • Remove from heat. Stir in peanut butter, incorporate completely.
  • Add crips rice cereal. Stir until well coated.
  • Spray a 9x13 pan with cooking spray. Press scotcherros mixture into the pan. Set aside.
  • Microwave the chocolate and butterscotch chips together stirring occasionally.
  • Spread evenly over cereal mixture. Let stand until firm. Cut into bars when cool.
  • Pro tip: Coat the measuring cup with cooking spray before measuring the corn syrup. The syrup will pour easily out of the cup.
