This homemade seasoning salt recipe combines common pantry seasonings to make a seasoned salt that is just like Lawry's seasoned salt!

Did you know you can make your own pantry ingredients? Start with my all-purpose blend, homemade garlic powder, everything but the bagel seasoning, and then dip your toe into canning with canning diced tomatoes.
What is Seasoned Salt Made Of?
"Seasoned salt" or "Seasoning Salt" usually consists of salt, onion and garlic powder as the base ingredients. Depending on personal preferences, additional ingredients can be added. It is important to use finely ground spices, such as pepper, when preparing this seasoning mix.
Seasoned Salt Ingredients:

- Table Salt - iodized regular salt is used in this recipe. Do not use kosher salt or flake salt.
- Celery Salt
- Paprika - smoked paprika if you have it!
- Superfine Sugar - see notes
- Cornstarch - this will help keep the mix from clumping
- Onion Powder
- Garlic Powder
- Ground Turmeric
- Cayenne Pepper

Substitutions
If your grocery store does not carry superfine sugar, you can place regular white granulated sugar in a food processor or coffee grinder and pulse until very fine.
Powdered sugar is NOT the same as superfine sugar and should not be used in place of superfine sugar for this recipe. Powdered sugar contains a small amount of an anticlumping agent.
You can use fine salt in place of table salt.
How To Make Homemade Seasoned Salt

- Combine all ingredients in a small measuring bowl and mix until well combined.
Storage Tips

Store in an airtight container or closed spice jar, in the dry place, so it doesn't loses its potency. Keep it away from heat and light so the seasoning salt can last for up to 2 months.

Remember to taste your food as you add the seasoned salt, and adjust the amount based on your personal preference. Start with a small amount, a teaspoon or so, and taste as you go to ensure you don't over season your food.

Chef Tip
All ingredients need to be ground or a fine version as this spice blend is meant to not be coarse at all. If your ingredients aren't fine or ground, toss them into a food processor or spice grinder and pulse until a fine texture is achieved.

- 3 Tablespoon (3 Tablespoon) Celery Salt
- 3 Tablespoon (3 Tablespoon) Paprika
- 3 ½ Tablespoon (3 ½ Tablespoon) Sugar superfine
- 4 ½ Teaspoons (4 ½ Teaspoons) Cornstarch
- 1 Tablespoon (1 Tablespoon) Onion Powder
- 1 Tablespoon (1 Tablespoon) Garlic Powder
- 1 Tablespoon (1 Tablespoon) Ground Turmeric
- ¾ Teaspoon (¾ Teaspoon) Cayenne Pepper
