🔄 Substitutions
Switch out good quality vodka with a shot of whiskey. Now you have a pickleback shot! Swap out your favorite vodka brand for a shot of Irish whiskey or a shot of jameson.
If you would like your pickle shot not to hit you all at once, you are going to want to shake it with ice. Add a scoop of ice to your shaker and shake vigorously until the cocktail shaker becomes frosty. The ice will chill the vodka and allow it to be released into your system slowly.

📝 Frequently asked questions, answers and tips:
Depending on the brand, type, and flavor of the jar of pickles you buy, the juice will taste differently, causing your shot to have that flavor base as well. So, mix it up and go spicy, maybe a little sweet, etc.
👩🍳 Chef Tip
Don’t salt the rim! A salted rim on this drink is WAY too salty when combined with the pickle brine. Be sure to run a lime wedge along the rim of the glass and then add the tajin before pouring the liquid to them.
