Substitutions

You don't need much for this one, but here are a few ways I recommend to mix it up. Keep it festive, but make it your own. This drink is super flexible!

  • Fireball substitute: Try Jack Daniel's Tennessee Fire or any cinnamon-flavored whiskey.
  • Non-alcoholic version: Use cinnamon syrup or Red Hots-infused simple syrup instead of Fireball.
  • Apple cider: Unfiltered is best for rich flavor, but apple juice works in a pinch.
  • Garnishes: No rosemary? Fresh thyme or a twist of orange peel adds a different aromatic touch.

How to make Apple Cider with Fireball

Choose Your Style

Determine whether you will serve this drink hot or cold. Warm the apple cider gently on the stove or microwave, or add ice to a large glass if you're going the chilled route.

A hand pours a golden liquid from a measuring cup into a glass. Nearby, an apple, cinnamon sticks, and a red patterned cloth hint at cozy apple cider with Fireball.

Pour the Fireball

Add 3 ounces of Fireball whiskey to your glass.

Make Ahead Instructions

Want to prep a batch for a party? Combine the Fireball and cider in a pitcher or an airtight bottle and keep it in the fridge. It'll stay fresh for about a week. If you're serving it hot, just warm it gently in a pot on the stove before serving.

Garnish Tip

Keep garnishes separate until serving so they stay fresh and crisp.

Storage Tips

Leftovers? Store the mixture in a sealed container in the fridge for up to a week. You can even freeze it for up to 3 months in a freezer-safe container; just leave room in the container for expansion.

Reheating Instructions

Reheat gently if serving hot again, or shake over ice for a quick chilled version.

Frequently asked questions, answers and tips:

Can I make this in a slow cooker?

Yes! I do this every year at our holiday party. I warm the cider and Fireball in a slow cooker on low. Add garnishes just before serving.
