Shake up a chocolate martini to turn any night in, into a festive fun night for all the chocolate lovers! This is the same Chocolate Martini recipe that is served at The Hotel Hershey, Hershey Lodge as well as the soon to be opened Hershey’s Chocolatetown.  While you are sipping on a chocolate martini, make the kids the hot chocolate bombs that everyone loves this year.

How to get the Hershey’s Kiss to balance on the rim:

This is not a trick, this is not an illusion, no photoshop was used in getting the Hershey’s Kiss to balance on the rim of the glass. Here is not to get it to stick.

  1. Use a wide-bladed knife, such as a chef knife, and warm it for 20 seconds over a flame such as a kitchen blow torch, a lighter or even the eye of an electric stove.
  2. Warm the bottom of the Hershey’s Kiss on the warm blade until it starts to melt slightly.
  3. Immediately place it on the rim of the martini glass and hold it there until the chocolate hardens.
  4. If it doesn’t adhere to the edge, repeat steps 2 and 3.

How to make a Hershey’s Chocolate martini:

  1. Prepare the martini glass with a chocolate rim and Hershey kiss garnish.
  2. Fill a cocktail shaker with ice.
  3. Add the 360 chocolate vodka, vanilla vodka and white creme de cocoa to the shaker.
  4. Place the lid on the cocktail shaker and shake for 1 minute.
  5. Strain the cocktail into the prepared martini glass.

Cocktail tips and alternatives:

  • Pressed for time? Place the Hershey’s Kiss at the bottom of the glass instead of adhering it to the edge of the glass.
  • Use your favorite flavored Hershey Kiss to garnish the cocktail
  • If vanilla vodka is not on your bar cart, use equal parts of my homemade vanilla extract. I use vodka as the base!
  • Use dark creme de cacao for a chocolate-colored cocktail instead of a clear cocktail.
  • Use extra chocolate syrup to make a chocolate swirl in the bottom of the cocktail glass.
