Here is why this easy cucumber onion salad is amazing:

  • Thanks to the use of English cucumbers, this refreshing salad can be made year-round. Use garden fresh cucumbers when they are in season.
  • Perfect for a summer side dish or serve at a bridal luncheon or baby shower.
  • The sweetness of the sugar balances out the tang and the bite of the onions while the fresh dill brings a refreshing brightness of flavor.

Ingredients needed to make this recipe:

  • Cucumbers - I use English cucumbers for this recipe.
  • Onion, red - sliced super thin
  • Vinegar, white - us use white vinegar in this recipe but others like apple cider vinegar or white whine vinegar. Experiment and decide what you like.
  • Sugar - white granular sugar is what I use
  • Water
  • Dill - fresh chopped is most flavorful.
