• Sugar - white granular sugar is what I use
• Water
• Dill - fresh chopped is most flavorful.

How to make cucumber onion salad:

1. Slice the cucumbers thinly.
2. Prepare the dressing in a pot over high heat whisk together the vinegar, water, and sugar until the sugar is fully dissolved and the mixture is clear.
3. Allow the dressing to cool and pour over the cucumbers and onions and toss to combine.
4. Sprinkle on the fresh dill and toss to incorporate.
5. Cover and refrigerate for about an hour to allow flavors to combine.
