Variations on this cake mix chocolate chip cookie
Switch out the chocolate chips for peanut butter chips, butterscotch chips or white chocolate chips. To make these a cake mix chocolate chip cookie with nuts, swap out ½ of the chocolate chips for your favorite nut. I love walnuts but pecans would also be a delicious option. Just be sure to toast the pecans first to bring out the full flavor.
Use a chocolate cake mix in place of the yellow cake mix and switch out the milk chocolate chips for white chocolate chips to make a chocolate/chocolate chip cake mix cookie.
How to make chocolate chip cake mix cookies:

- Preheat your oven to 350 °F degrees Fahrenheit, and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Set aside.
- Mix together cake mix, eggs, and vegetable oil, until well combined and cookie dough has formed.
- Fold in the chocolate chips.
- Use a cookie scoop to scoop the dough onto the parchment paper.
- Bake for 9-10 minutes, until the bottoms of the cookies are golden brown.
Making Chocolate Chip Cake Mix Cookies
Preheat oven
Preheat oven to 350 °F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Mix The Ingredients
In a large mixing bowl, add together the cake mix, eggs, and vegetable oil.

Stir
Use a wooden spoon, spatula or a large spoon and stir until well combined and cookie dough has formed.

Add Chips
Add the milk chocolate chips.

Incorporate
Fold in the chocolate chips until they are fully incorporated. Do not overmix.

Scoop
Use a 1 inch cookie scoop to scoop the dough onto the parchment paper, about 2 inches apart.

Bake
Bake for 9-10 minutes, until the bottoms of the cookies are golden brown.
Storage Tips
Allow the cookies to cool completely before storing in a Ziploc bag or other air-tight storage container.
