Unless I have a coupon and they are on sale it is rare that I am purchasing them from the frozen foods section of my grocery store. Black Bean Burger Ingredients:
- 1 can 15 oz. Black Beans
- 1 large egg
- 2 Tablespoons salsa.
- 1/3-1/2 c crushed pretzels

How to make a black bean burger patty:
- Rinse and drain the black beans.
- Transfer to a bowl and start mashing the beans with the tines of a fork.
- Add a large egg, stir to incorporate.
- Add 2 tablespoons of your favorite salsa, stir to incorporate.
- Add 1/3 – 1/2 cups crushed pretzels. Allow the mixture to rest for a few minutes to absorb the moisture of the egg and the salsa. Adjust depending on the moisture level of the salsa.
- Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and form into patties.
- Using 1 teaspoon of peanut oil (or frying oil of your choice) in a non stick skillet, pan sear them on each side for 2 minutes per side or until cooked through.Once it is crispy on the second side it is done!
