    This recipe has both lilac infused alcohol and lilac syrup in it. I love the floral essence in this bees knees cocktail. Such a refreshing difference in a cocktail.

    What is a Bee's knees cocktail?

    Bees Knees cocktail (or Bee's Knees cocktail ) is a prohibition era cocktail made with gin, fresh lemon juice, and honey. It is served shaken over ice, strained and often with a lemon twist.The name comes from prohibition-era slang meaning "the best. This lilac bee's knees cocktail has lilac infused gin and the addition of lilac syrup. The garnish is lilac blossoms instead of a lemon twist.

    Lilac Bees Knees Cocktail Ingredients:

    • 2 ounces Lilac infused gin
    • 1 ounce Lilac syrup
    • ¾ oz. Lemon Juice, fresh squeezed
    • ¾ oz Honey Syrup

    Honey syrup ingredients:

    • 1 cup honey
    • ⅓ cup warm water
    • Combine honey and warm water to make honey syrup.

    Making the Lilac Bee's Knees Cocktail.

    1. In a cocktail shaker filled ¾ full with ice, add the lilac infused gin, lilac syrup, fresh lemon juice and honey syrup.
    2. Shake well to chill the cocktail.
    3. Strain the drink into a cocktail glass.
    4. Garnish with lilac flowers.
