- 4 ounce Canning Jars
- Jar lids
- Jar rings

Vanilla Simple Syrup Ingredients:
- 2 cups water
- 2 cups white sugar
- 1 split vanilla bean
Vanilla Simple Syrup Recipe:
- Bring the sugar, water and the split vanilla bean to a boil.
- Cool.
- Store in the refrigerator.

How to make bourbon cherries
- Fill the canning jars ⅔ full with dried cherries.
- Don't over stuff the jars because the dried cherries will absorb the delicious liquids and expand.
- Fill the jars ¼ full with the vanilla simple syrup.
- Top off the jars with bourbon.
- Add the lid and ring.
- Allow them to sit over night.
- The longer they sit the more delicious they become!
- Print out the free printable, and affix the tag to the top of the jar.
- Give as a gift.
